It uses Apple's Family Controls and DeviceActivity frameworks - the same system-level technology behind iOS Screen Time. During a session the apps you've chosen are genuinely locked, not just hidden. Strict mode makes a session impossible to cut short early.

MindBack uses the same underlying Family Controls technology but adds real focus sessions, a strict mode you can't end early, streaks and achievements - so the limit actually holds and the habit actually sticks.

Yes. Your Screen Time data and the list of apps you block never leave your iPhone - Apple's Family Controls entitlement requires that, and we honour it. We store only what runs your account: email, profile, focus history, streaks and XP. No analytics SDKs, and we never sell your data.

No manual setup. The first time you start a session, MindBack asks for Family Controls permission with a quick system prompt. If you ever revoke it, blocking pauses - but your account, history and streaks stay intact.

Yes. Alongside on-demand sessions, you can set recurring schedules - block social apps every weekday from 9 to 5, or every evening before bed, without lifting a finger.
